Prophit is a self-hostable, open-source prediction market platform. We built it for operators who want to run their own market — not rent it from a vendor — and for traders who want pricing that reflects information, not house spread.
What we believe
- Prices should be honest. LMSR — no spreads, no last-look, no maker rebates that distort the quote.
- Settlement should be transparent. Every resolution links to a public source. Disputes are open and on the record.
- Operators should own their stack. Prophit is MIT-licensed PHP/Laravel — run it on a $5 droplet or a 10-node Kubernetes cluster.
- Traders should keep their funds. Beneficiary-based withdrawals, no balance sweeps, no inactivity fees.
How we make money
A flat 2% fee on each trade — taken from the side that initiates the price move. No subscription, no withdrawal charge, no spread.
If you self-host Prophit, the source is free. We sell paid support, hosted deployments, and white-label branding to operators who want them.
Team
We're a small, distributed team — half ex-quants, half product engineers. We answered help-desk tickets ourselves last year and we still do. Tech: PHP 8.3, Laravel 11, Filament 3, Livewire 3, Tailwind v4. Postgres in prod, SQLite for the demo.
